l871f6e44-w0xd-w400_h300_q80Villa Loma is a classic Colorado Springs neighborhood. It lies just to the west of North Powers Boulevard, between the North & South Carefree Circles and Constitution Avenue. Thus, Villa Loma is centrally located within the city of Colorado Springs, and homeowners are able to hop on to the major local thoroughfares that run in almost any direction.

Although many homes in Villa Loma have been around for awhile, the neighborhood has remained strikingly beautiful.  The lawns have been treated with love and care, and the trees have grown to be very tall.  The homes themselves were built in classic American style, and many are tucked pleasantly behind a bit of foliage.

Villa Loma is lucky enough to claim a park of it's own. The park fields 8.4 acres of open landscape and scattered foliage, along with a playground. The Homestead Trail bisects the Villa Loma park along it's 8-mile circuit through the parks of Colorado Springs, and the 750-acre natural expanse of Palmer Park lies just to the west of Villa Loma. Palmer Park offers a wide range of sports facilities, along with a botanical reserve, opportunities for picnicking, and some of the best views in Colorado Springs. So if you like to get out there and stay active, you've got options in Villa Loma.

The Colorado Springs Municipal Airport can be found just to the south of Villa Loma, along the major thoroughfare that is Powers Boulevard. Although this airport is not designated internationally, it's proximity to Villa Loma should be a critical factor for anyone who finds themselves on frequent business trips.

There's always something going on in downtown Colorado Springs, and getting downtown is nothing but a quick drive, or even bus ride, from Villa Loma. The downtown area is home to most of the greatest cafes, bars, cubs, and restaurants in the city. Of course, one could go downtown with an extravagant budget and it would be put to good use, but yet the Colorado Springs downtown also caters to those of us who aren't trying to spend a fortune every-other Friday night.

Villa Loma is served by the Colorado Springs School District 11, a district known for a well-rounded student population, along with a forward-thinking academic philosophy. There is an abundance of public and private schools in the nearby area, so parents in Villa Loma are able to weigh many options without stressing about transportation.

Golden Hills is a scenic neighborhood located in the western foothills of Colorado Springs. The area offers intimate views of the Rocky Mountains, and some of Colorado Spring's finest wilderness is never far away.

The Ute Valley Park can be found on the western side of Golden Hills. Over 40 miles of trails run through the varied terrain of Ute Valley. If one can make it to the top of the park's hogback ridge, they will get a look at what could be the greatest panoramic view in the area.

Nonetheless, the Garden of the Gods state park is less than 10 minutes driving from Golden Hills. If you've never heard of or seen the Garden, it might be worthwhile to take a look immediately. The iconic rock formations at the Garden of the Gods are among the most beautiful sights in America. The park itself also offers more than 100 miles of varied trails, for all skill levels. The visitor center is like a small museum, and the staff is always informative and happy to help. Even if you've never gone on a hike before, the Garden might just be the best place to give it a shot. If you're a professional adventurer, you should ask yourself why you've never lived right next to the Garden of the Gods.

Regardless of wether or not you are a family from California, a young professional from Denver, or a retired couple looking to settle down, Golden Hills could be a great fit for you. The neighborhood caters to a wide range of age groups. The nearby area along the Western slope is packed with activities for kids and grandparents alike. In addition, one can hop on several major thoroughfares from the Golden Hills area, so finding what you need is almost always a breeze.

The streets of Golden Hills and the surrounding suburbs of Rockrimmon are safe and quiet, yet there's something in the mountain air that draws good-natured and well-rounded individuals of all ages.  Like with most of Colorado Springs, over 70% of homeowners in Golden Hills moved to Colorado within the last 10 years, so no need to worry about fitting in if you're making a historic move.

Golden Hills is served by Academy School District 20, a district known for it's refined approach to academic quality. Parents in Golden Hills can also send their kids to the schools of Colorado Springs School District 11. This district operates the most diverse and innovative schools of the city.

All in all, Golden Hills is a true gem. As one drives between the modest shadows of the trees along Golden Hills road, they'll pass classic American homes, and yet they'll realize that for each house there is a story; no two homes in Golden Hills are exactly alike. For each home, and each yard, there's a touch of artful creativity. A unique sense of serenity inevitable follows as one moves through the Golden Hills, for no matter where you are in the neighborhood, the backdrop of the Colorado Springs front range is just a glance away.

This is a great neighborhood for anyone who likes to exercise.  The Cottonwood Creek trail runs through the west side of Bridle Pass, and so the Cottonwood Creek Park & Recreation Center is not far away.  This rec. center is home to the finest aquatic facilities in Colorado Springs.  One can also find the Wagon Trails Community Recreation Center right in the middle of Bridle Pass, along with the Eugene McCleary Park.  Even the streets of Bridle Pass are to great to jog or bike upon, as traffic flow is very low throughout the neighborhood.

Bridle Pass is, without question, a family neighborhood.  At least 73% of the homes in Bridle Pass are owned by married couples with children.  It's a rare day for Bridle Pass when you don't see kids playing around outside.  There are also meet-and-greet opportunities in the neighborhood when grown-ups can socialize.

There's plenty of space for lawns throughout the neighborhood, in both your front and back yards. Homeowners are able to landscape their property, although you won't see anything too radical in Bridle Pass. Many homeowners in Bridle Pass have decided to plant trees throughout the years, so the neighborhood has acquired a touch of what could be called a "natural" feel.

If you're moving from out of state, you are not alone at Bridle Pass! Over half of the neighborhood moved to Colorado within the last 10 years. This is fairly typical for Colorado Springs, as the city has busily expanded throughout the past few decades.

Bridle Pass is a very quiet neighborhood, as is typical for the area. In addition, criminal activity is more or less nonexistent. There's no need to worry about walking through Bridle Pass alone at night, and your car will always be safe outside.

If your kids are in school, you should know that Bridle Pass is served by both Colorado Springs School District 11 and Falcon School District 49. One could also opt in to Academy School District 20, as their schools are not far away.
