The location is ideal for mobility and allows residents to live close to the downtown district, just 7 miles away. The Air Force Academy and Peterson Air Force Base are both situated within that same 7 mile radius.

All four of Colorado Springs' major hospitals are located in the aforementioned 7 mile radius. Memorial Downtown and Penrose St. Francis are both in downtown's north end and have been meeting the medical needs of Colorado Springs residents for years now.

The new St. Francis hospital and medical center and the new Memorial hospital locations are in the north campus. Both facilities are in the northeast part of the city, just off of Powers Boulevard.

For students' reference, Austin Heights is a mere 5 miles away from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and the Colorado Springs Country Club is also 5 miles away, for all you golf enthusiasts.

Austin Heights has a close proximity to each District 11 school, as well as Pikes Peak Christian School, which is the one largest private schools in the city of Colorado Springs.

Powers Boulevard, which is just over a mile away, is home to one of Colorado Springs' biggest shopping areas. Stores include Costco, Target, JCPenney and Best Buy, but your shopping selection is not limited to those stores, as there are many more in the area.

There is a portion of Austin Heights which overlooks a small open space. Not too far away is a much larger open space, the Sunset Mesa Open Space. Our homes are situated adjacent to I-25 on the eastern side. Austin Heights residents are still able to catch a glimpse of many different wild animals, this includes woodland creatures, such as deer and rabbits.

Austin Heights was established in 2004 and most of the homes within were completed by 2006. Each year, a few more homes are built. Austin Heights residences are constructed by a variety of builders, which means there are different features in each.

Kitchens include 42 inch cabinets, built from a variety of different woods like oak and maple, with lighting located beneath the cabinets. Solid surface counter tops make for easy cleaning and some homes also have granite tops available. You can choose between island kitchens or open kitchens, equipped with stainless appliances. Some also include pantries for use of a butler and breakfast bars, in addition to dining rooms, styled formally.

Bathrooms are outfitted with back splash tile, free standing showers, and garden or jetted tubs. Floors are wood or tile, and homes come with Central air and heat. 6 panel doors, 9 foot vaulted ceilings, in addition to arches, French doors, bay and vinyl windows, and rounded corners give the homes of Austin Heights a modern, classy feel.

Bedrooms are set up with double vanities and walk-in closets. The homes' exteriors are constructed from stone and stucco. Meanwhile, some of the perks include a laundry room with sink, in home security system, art niches, humidifiers, home office, automatic sprinkler systems and a gas fireplace.

For those nights where you want to relax outdoors and take in the scenery, homes are built with a walk out to the deck or patio and some are constructed Trex style.
